Deep, emerald green, closed back pastes are individually linked to create the maximum sparkle and drama. Can't you just picture this one with one of those deep green velvet dresses they wore then, hair up, dramatic earrings, candlelight and dancing. Oops, sorry, got caught up in the moment. Made around 1840, most likely in England, which is where I found it, smiling
