Although it appears at first sight to be Smoky Amethyst I think the Smoky colour comes from Iron in the Matrix
hence they are much more secure
The Gemstone is surrounded by silver rope work and on either side of the stone sits a 3 pointed flower which reminds me of a Celtic Triquetra
