Vintage P-47 Cotton HBT Twill USMC Shirt navy deck jacket it´s made in a cotton/LinenA great exampel of a vintage P 47 USMC shirt. Part of the basic work utility uniform that was issued for US Marine Corps back in 1947. The fabric is a nicely worn cotton herringbone twill, a fabric that got its name because the texture resembles the skeleton of a herring. This weaving technique is most commonly used in wool textiles and for more dressed up suits, but during the 40s and 50s it was also used in the military garments as in this case. The
