With the included spacers, it is suitable for shell width of both 73 mm and 68 mm. Shimano recommends the BB MT801 for the cranksets of the XT and SLX series as well as for some no group models from the MTB range. It features a high quality, sealed steel bearing. The bearing cups are made of anodized aluminum.
